Linux Expert - Air Traffic Management

Indra Navia, Tower Systems are searching for skilled engineers. We participate actively in the international SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) project for the development and deployment of future ATM systems. The product InNOVA has a solid market position and is installed at more than 100 airports worldwide. Tower Systems is developing rapidly, and we are facing an exciting new phase of major expansion. Would you like to join the team?

You will be a part of a professional team of 15-20 in-house programmers, some with deep Linux knowledge.

 

Main work tasks will be to:

  • Prepare Linux (CentOS or RHEL) for deployment with our InNOVA product
  • Prepare our InNOVA application SW for installation
  • Set up and streamline our Linux development environment for our in-house developers
  • Actively participate in defining SW management strategy (branching, merging etc)
  • Maintain our in-house Linux servers
  • Be our in-house Linux guru
  • Software development based on our Qt/C++/Linux platform, with strict requirements for robustness and quality

 Required qualifications:

  • Technical education on M.Sc./B.Sc. level
  • Deep knowledge of Linux, including packing, customization, scripting, deployment
  • Knowledge of system security, including Linux hardening
  • Good C/C++ programming skills
  • Ability to take initiative, work targeted and structured
  • Good communicational and teamwork skills
  • FluentNorwegian and English communication, written and spoken

In addition it is an advantage if you have:

  • Knowledge of networking
  • Knowledge of virtualization and container technologies
  • Knowledge of Ansibel and other deployment tools
  • Experience with and interest in web application development
